Pretty bomb proof and can be tuned easliy....

Better mpg than the 2.5TD....as for performance, you need to drive one....

Chaz,

No problems yet with pulling power, remember it's a diesel so plenty of torque but not so great on 0-60 performance which is more to do with the gearing in my view. Towing a 1400kg caravan has been no problem in fact it can be too easy at times ;).

Throw in a chip and it all gets a bit better with torque up to about 330nm on the estate I am finding it kicking out a bit since changing tyres so obviously tyre choice needs to be taken into consideration as part of the chip upgrade. No traction control option on the DTI but an LSD makes up for it if it has been added.

MPG wise I get around 34 for the commute to work, up to about 50 on a run, and about 25 towing on average.

As mentioned before on here, it seems that the 2.2 DTI engine has a slight leak built in between the block and the head at the front of the engine which results in a very slight show of oil across the front of the engine. To date there have been no reports that I have seen for this to be a problem, they all have it and we all live with it.
