omega front fogs
« on: 10 April 2007, 11:04:59 »

hi,
have fitted front fogs to my superb omega, and found connecting cables ok at front bumper. Changed light switch box for it to take front fog switch and hey presto power to switch when activated, but front fogs do not come on.
Checked fuse 16 as told by my omega book and no fuse, inserted fuse and still no fog lights what do i need to do now please anyone know or have added front fogs in the past

You say you have power TO the switch, do you have power on the other side of the switch?

according to wiring diagram front fogs meet fuse 16 and then to light switch on connector 5 at the rear of the switch,
have checked this and even teed in a second spur direct to to fogs and still nothing

Have you checked for volts with the fog lights turned on at F16 and the fog lamp bulbs....

Its a case of start at the switch measuring for volts, then the fuse and then the lamps, use a body 0V point at all times....then check the fog light 0v connection to.....

Isn't there a relay that operates the front fogs?  If so firstly is it actually there, and secondly is it working?
