Running over silver haired ladies
« on: 13 April 2007, 19:46:04 »

Hi Guys I'm back ;)
Thanks for the help :y The Omega dumped some more hairy stuff yesterday but has been fine since! Still running fine with no extra noise. I don't mind paying out for a new back box but don't want to buy a new catalyst.
The Omega may be old and have a hi mileage but when you put your foot on the go pedel she still takes off like a youngen!

:o If you have hairy stuff coming out of you exhaust you need to get it changed, the interior packing of the silencer is/has failed.  I had similar prob on a cav I had , didn't realise what was happening. You get excess heat/pressure build up, can't escape out of exhaust so bulids up in engine, ended up warping the head on the cav, had to get it re skimmed.

would suggest you get the offending bit changed    :y
