Radio Lighting
« on: 15 May 2007, 19:23:41 »

Hi, Folks

I have a bit of annoying occurance with my car400 radio, if I have the headlights on and the instrument brightness adjusting wheel at full for maximum light the illumination for the radio switches off...If i lower the adjustment to the bottom the radio lights up!!

Has anybody any idea why this happen...it is rather annoying  >:(

Many thanks karl

Bizarre. No idea I'm afraid.  I will test both my Omegas (CCR600 and CCR800) tomorrow.

i'm not sure why they'd switch off completely, but i know they do dim slightly when you switch the headlights on, as if to "share" the power evenly between all your panel lighting

the dim when lights are on is because the thing assumes its dark - if it stayed bright, it would be distracting ;)

You are right in what you say Danny the Vectra I own does the same (car300) but in the meega the dash stays bright but the radio goes off completely no illumination at all after moving the adjuster up more than a 1/3.  :-?

Strange
