I have searched and found a few threads on this, but nothing definitive.

I think the 2.2's steering is too light.

Can this be adjusted by tech2 (and in the lakes )

We have a theory that previous owners have complained about steering being heavy (it was)
however since having the geometry fixed, it is feather light, so suspect Vauxhall, rather than fix the geometry, have just upped the assistance, and as the car now goes in a straight line properly, there is now too much assistance.

Can see plenty of confirmation the v6's have 3 levels of adjustment, but only questions on the 2.2's

2.2's cannot be adjusted.

Hi there Jimbob,

I have asked this question before as I find my steering too heavy! And as Auto Addict has said, only the V6’s can be changed via Tech2. However I am interested in what kind of geometry work you had done to yours, as I was thinking of putting narrower tyres on min to try and sort out the heaviness. Back to your prob, have you checked the fluid level, also I am looking up threads on the steering box grub screw, this might healp

Bugger, thats that plan out the window then.

As for the geometry work, car pulled heavily to the left.
Just took it to a full geometry place (local to me) who adjusted a few things back into spec.

Also due to many many punctures, went from 4 different budget tyres to 4 continental premium contact tyres, these are a little 'wallowy' compared to some, would get the sport contact next time, like I run on the MV6.

If you want it doing properly, Wheels in motion in Watford are the place.

Only the 6 cylinder models (petrol and diesel) have the electronically adjustable steering.  4 cylinder cars do not.

I personally highly recommend Wheels In Motion for geometry.  Most places set the geometry back to 'in spec', which covers a range.  You can have a car thats 'in spec' but completely wrong. WIM seem to understand geometry, and don't just set it so the computer reads green, but take the time to find a setup that works well for your car.

I agree, but as it was a long way, a trip to WIM is on the cards next time I am down that way, the £30 odd quid it cost has made a world of difference.
Was also tempted to try his recommended location in Oldham.

I am in west wales near Aberystwyth, so nowhere local for me to get a geometry setup, but I do travel to Manchester a few times a year, are there any places that way?.  Mine also pulls to the left. It would be nice to sort out if possible.

As prevously stated, probably not the best, but they certainly made one hell of a difference to my wife's
