On the v6 it is on a machined flat surface next to the oil filter. :)

Sorry, I don't know what a v5 is?  :-[
Is there any other way I can determine which of these two sensors I need to buy?

i was under the impression that there was only one for the 3 litre, however by  the time you add vat and postage to that price you might as well go th the main stealer anyway as they are about £42.

keolsen is Danish (see his car pics in the gallery). Not surprised he didn't know what a V5 was!!

DVLA could be the Dansk Vehikel Licensoring Agensi.  But I doubt it.  ;D ;D ;D

P.S. to keolsen: Edit your profile with your location. Maybe OOF members would like to pop in to see you when they are touring Scandinavia. ...... ;D ;D ;D

Am resurrecting this one instead of starting new (environmentally aware me you know - recycle :y)

Need my engine no for the cambelt kit - went to order one from the stealers as don't want to take any chances and they don't have it in their database :o  I would assume that they wold have had this info.... surely?

Anyhow, I know you can get the No of the V5 - but bugger me if can find mine - don't think I've seen it for 4 years :( I always just tke the tax reminder in with me to the PO or now as am environmentally aware do it online 8-)

Have been under the car and had a good root around and the flat part at the back of the engine by the oil filter is blank - doesn't even show signs of having had anything on it previously - not even ground off :-?.

Apart from getting another V5 from the DVLA (which will take upto 6 weeks :o) is there anywhere else that this ID could be hidden other wise I'm not stripping my engine down this weekend :'(
