Dunno if the 2.0/2.2/later2.5/3.0 twin electrodes would fit. £1.81 each on TC.  As said, not sure if same size/heat as the quad type fitted to 2.6/3.2

The plug looked horrible so it now has a nice new set of NGKs in bank 1-3-5

I will do 2-4-6 tomorrow.

I think it was failing due to knackered plugs
Hope so. Looks like 1-3-5 cpp unit isn't a TC item (though 2-4-6 is)...

V Sorry to digress Why do VX do this?  I had a pair of Track arms c/w track ends, one side was TC t'other wasn't, managed to gerimander some discount anyway...  just weird..  Anybody know the reason?

Fingers X'd on the misfire..

I agree - I know some people like to get the 'full life' out of stuff, but I tend to change stuff more quickly at a time that suits me (ie summer!) to keep the car at its peak...    ...in case of plugs, every time I have the plenum off....

TBH Martin Imber, may be worth changing them a bit more often, esp if you get a TC card...

I know!!!!

I forget that the car was not fully serviced when I had it but only cambelt kit fitted and had a recent oil change before I had it.

What do you think - plugs from 40,000 service or original!

I used to have a lot more time for car maintenance

You know as well as I do, only one way to ensure your car is properly serviced ;), so probably original if quad type.

I find that a little preventative work means I don't spend too long on the car - a stitch in time and all that ;)

I thought a plug change was specced at 80,000 miles  :o for 2.6 / 3.2.

Changed mine after I bought it at 41k and they were still ok but past their best. Which reminds me. 4 of them are still in SWMBO's MX5  ::)

Only way to guarantee it is done properly would be to get my dad to do it, but he is not too well now.
