Senator rear springs??
« on: 21 July 2007, 20:51:01 »

Hi Guys,

Quick question, i promise...

My W plate just failed it MOT on a rear spring and a rusty back box.  Just ordered a box from Vx on trade and as for the spring i managed to find one on a 3.0 Senny at Albert Looms this morning. Does anyone know if the Senny spring is a like for like part for an Omega one?  It does look the same, although it's hard to tell without taking the old one off...

Any help on this would be brill and would save me a few hours mucking about tomorrow, n the pi***ng rain!

Cheers

Seem to recall, the Senny springs will fit, but not sure which ones are stronger etc. I know Tunnie was after Meega V6 springs for his senny..

I wouldn't fit senator springs......if you need a quick bodge, I think I have one Omega spring, not taht I would recommend fitting just one spring.

Nice one chaps!

Should i replace the pair as they are from a senny and are stronger?  or is it to keep both spings with a simular age/wear?  i'm don't really want to swap both of them as i replaced other rear spring a few months ago as that was broken too.

Nice one Mark, only just noticed that post!

I only want to scrape it through it's MOT as it's being sold shortly.  But if x1 senny spring would make it dangerous or look lob-sided i will fit the Omega one.

It'll be your call/concious if you change just the one spring .... again! ;) As already said owt to do with suspension & brakes should always be done on each side of the car. You don't want to sell something that'd be unsafe .... would you? ;)  :y
