HID aim levers
« on: 03 August 2007, 01:33:46 »

Well, been a nice day, tried to remove my n/s headlamp unit, but had no luck, took out all the screws that I could see, removed trims etc, but the headlight unit just wouldnt come out, it felt like something was holding it in behind the wing? Anyone know how to get it out cos I need to fix the reflector if I can, also, the aim lever is down on the n/s light, and up on the o/s light is this correct? I aint got a scooby doo and the markings dont help, it says left and right with arrows but the levers go up and down  ;D
 Cheers John

Yep, removed all bolts and releasing clips and the bit of trim under the headlight that the washer pokes through, checked to see if its the washer system or ballast catching, but not that, it seems to be fastened behind the wing somewhere and I really cant be assed removing the wing  ;D When the auto leveling system is working, does it actually move the reflector bit, or does it move something behind the 'eye' I noticed I can see the beam moving when the beam direction lever is lowered and raised. Does that lever stay in the lower position by the way?
