« on: 02 August 2007, 17:54:13 »

Gents & Ladies,  (Very P.C. ME)

When the Meeega's starting from cold or cooler than running temp i.e. after being swithched off after a run..  As you rev the engine there is a Rrrasp audible through the exhausts....  clears when normal op temp...  pretty sure NOT a cat or exhaust  baffle...  I think it's EGR related..  could anyone in the know clarify my theory and advise Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese...

Cheers DC

Leaking manifold gaskets are really hard to pinpoint for sure. I was certain my driver's side was leaking but couldn't pinpoint it. When I changed the gasket it did fix the problem.

I now suspect the passenger's side is going too  :(
