Has anyone out there got any experience of LPG?
My friend the vauxhall dealer mechanic has looked at my miggy and he says the LPG fitting was a disgrace, and it was not fitted properly and thats what could be causing my misfires and all the aggro i have had.

Is there anyone out there who can help me?
As i would like the car looked at by another LPG specialist garage or someone who knows what they are talking about before i go ranting and raving at the cowboys who fitted the LPG.
If anyone can reccomend a garage to me, in the south east, west london etc
as i dont want to go all the way back to plymouth to get this sorted

Does anyone know a decent garage i can go to so it can be inspected?  or anyone on the forum i could take it to to get it looked at?
As i really want my LPG sorted properly, and i can smell gas inside the car as well.

Pls someone help, as much as i love my car, i have had nothing but aggro!

How many threads have you got going for the same problem?  it might be worth keeping to one thread then we might be able to build a better picture as you go along.

Don't place any weight on an "LPGA" certificate -- they are a self-appointed trade body with no legal weight, and I've heard of many shoddy jobs coming with an LPGA certificate. It's very important to ensure the company you're dealing with is competent and has a good reputation (even better if they have experience with the car and engine you're converting). The best way to find out is by word of mouth, have a trawl around the forums, places like www.lpgforum.co.uk can be useful here.

FWIW mine came pre-installed and has an LPGA certificate. It's not a seamless conversion, having a slight jerky throttle response at times, but then it is a few years old now so probably needs a quick tune up.

First thing to consider -- what size of engine do you have, and is it a multi-point system? On the V6 multi-point comes highly recommended, less so for the 4-pots but it's still preferable. Photos of the engine bay and anywhere else of concern may help.

Are you sure it's not just a simple job of replacing the 4 electrode plugs for 2 electrode ones?? The 2 electrodes are better than the 4 when it comes to LPG.....

Just wanted to ask your advice on my ongoing saga with my omega....
I have posted a topic about my misfire before but i cant find it.
The car has now been in 3 garages and no one can find the source of the problem....
Now because i bought the car from a garage i now have it in nationwide autocentres as it is upposed to be under warranty.

Now they have had the car for over a week, done compression tests and all that, i have had the leads replaced, the dis pack, o rings and some other bits.
and after all that and being on a vauxhall dealer computer it turns out that i have 2 bent valves?

The car drives ok, its just very lumpy when you accellerate from stop.
Apparently i have bent valves on number 4 and number 6 cylinder.

The garage has also said that if the warranty company decide not to pay then it will cost me over a grand?!!!!
Is this right???

If the valves are bent then most likely they've come into contact with the pistons, which implies a slipped or incorrectly fitted timing belt. Although how only 2 valves got bent I have no idea.

I'm a little sceptical of the dignosis without any details on how they reached that conclusion, but if it's correct it won't be a cheap job to fix -- heads off
