CL and EW failure on one door only!
« on: 12 August 2007, 00:43:08 »

So, i went shoping and locked the omega (one fob press only), i returned and when i unlocked the car with the fob all but the rear drivers door unlocked. i was able to unlock it manually thankfully, but it refused to lock/unlock with the central locking no matter how i begged it to.

i then tried to lower the electric window on the same door which it wouldnt do either, both from the front and rear window switches. the speaker is working though so the loom is at best partially intact.

my question, is there a disconnect plug somewhere in the cabin that might come loose, there isn't a plug on the loom into the b pillar and if im to whip the drivers seat out, so be it.

am i alone with such a problem? :'(

Theres a disconnect point on the door itself and IIRC there is one on the door pillar as well. Try the one to the door itself first.

i agree check connectors on door and pillar aswell.  take the connector off and give it a clean c=both sides, then put it back, should sort it!

problem found ;D

i removed the plug into the door, pulled back the rubber boot and checked the wiring and found 3 wires cut! it was a very clean cut and for the life of me i dont know what could have caused it but wires crimped and all working.

thanks lads :y
