Paint Code !     Bugger !
« on: 02 September 2007, 00:54:02 »

After a long drive to Heathrow and back today, I get in to put my feet up and the wife asks for something sweet ?
I approach her, thinking my luck was in when she said.."No !  Something sweet...such as chocolate"....So back on went my shoes and off I drove to the local garage to get "something sweet".

The point !

Well upon my return I backed in to a low bloody wall...ermmmm.. MY low bloody wall to be honest which I swear had moved slightly while I was off getting "something sweet". SO ! My question is, where is the colour code of the paint shown on my Omega please so I can pop down to Halfrauds in the morning to pick some up..I have a small 2touch up" stick but its not quite right and shows up like a git...so thought I'd try a colour more accurate.

Many thanks in advance for any help you are able to give.

In my idea dont trust the original color code too much..Because the paint fades under the sun. Here the painters use the original code only for the base color. After some work they catch the final color (with trial and mixture)..

Otherwise the colors wont match ...

Unfortunately we do not have the same problem with the sun as you do  :)It is more likely to be washed away with the rain  :-/ :y

Thank you for your feedback....I had a play with the T Cut this morning and in the main, I think I'll get away with it.
Fortunately the scratches are so low they are kinda hard to see...Guess I'll wait for her next spray work session to get it properly sorted.

You are really lucky..I see to many cars around have the same color in parts but different tones..Very easy to say where had the accident..
