6 1/2 hours support today
« on: 29 September 2007, 21:30:33 »

Had a call from my boss with problems at a customer (over filled server drive), knocked out our system.

Anyway ended up deleting 4GB of crud off the server then packing a barcode file of 4GB and we removed 2 million records to get it down to 26million.

Also did a full system update with new software.

Our main competitors who are German don't do Saturdays!

This site does over 20,000 sealed units a week!

I've spent the day, in amongst a few Omega Owners turning up today, adding a load of code to my brother's Point of Sale software - he sent me an email yesterday, and wants it implemented by today  :-?

I hope so!

I like Andrew though - no problem helping - had to get my boss in at one point to wobble my mouse since my work PC was playing silly buggers and I couldn't control it - using Netsupport to my PC then to our customer

My day was a bit less exiting. I am renovating (Trying to !) a house, and spent the day fitting in the roof insulation. I have to use that new Celotex stuff between rafters, plus all sorts of stuff, like I have to nail battons up first, then fit the insulation, then fit a damp proof membrain, remembering to tape up all the joints, then I can fit  the plasterboard which then has to be skimmed. Great Fun, if you fancy a swap, then please contact me !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers Ken
