If the temp is ok at motorway speeds but rises when you go slower I would put it down to airflow and pressure wash the rad from inside the engine bay outwards. Better still remove it and give it a good flush as well

I idled the car for the best part of an hour today and the fan cut in about 98 and then the temp dropped to 95 everytime, so i guess that the fan is ok, but at what temp does the second fan speed cut in?. I have also noticed that the rear multi ram does not seem to work if i blip the throttle hard, so will have to see if any vac pipes have become disconnected.. i have recently had all the top end disconnected so it is quite poss that has happened

It porbably won't get hot enough for the 2nd speed to cut in in this weather. I think it switches a shade over 100 deg. C.
