ABS Lamp
« on: 25 October 2007, 10:16:51 »

Have just come back with MOT refusal, one thing:-

Anti-lock bracking system warning lamp does not illuminate (Never seen it illuminate since had the car).

How do I check if its the bulb or if something more serious?

its a 1998 3.0 elite (Ex blue & White)

Thanks

iirc, prise out the centre air vent and undo the screw(s), the panel then eases forward off a connector, unplug the MID and it shoud be free to come out.

When replacing, get the rhs in place then press back onto the connector and replace the screw.

Am I looking at a fault with the ABS or lose connection.

dodgy wheel sensor might be causing the fault, get a tech2 on the case. the bulb was probably removed by the previous owner to hide the fault before selling it.
