2.2 Starting Problem
« on: 31 October 2007, 15:02:47 »

Had the old non starting issue today :(

Mrs had just dropped the littleun off at school
Gets back in car and it takes 10 mins of trying to start it.

Have to have a check for codes when I get home, thinking Cam sensor?

hummm i would have said cam too but 10 mins would have been too excessive for that.

Could always try turning the alarm off, see if it re-occurs.

Did the spanner light come on after the car started?

Dont think it will be......no P0340 mentioned and P1613 is an immoboliser code.....communication error between immobolier and ecu.

Spanner light should have been flashing whilst cranking.

Jimbob....What was the problem before?

She thinks the light was flashing, but crying baby in the back means she is not 100%

Weird one this, that is now the 3rd or 4th time in 18 months.

Suggested a keys out, lock, wait a min, unlock & try again for next time.

Cheers all
