Couple of questions about 2002 Omega 2.5 DTI
« on: 31 October 2007, 20:33:30 »

So, here it goes:
1) Where can i find pollen filter ( its called pollen filter i believe) and how to change it?
2) Where can i check oil level in auto gear? have looked all around but have found nothing so far  >:(

Car is born in year 2002, Design Edition (similar to english Elite?), 2.5 Common rail diesel, auto gear has  5 speeds :y

P.S. Would love to see some pictures if possible  :)

Ah, that rare little beast!

Y25DT with the 5 speed auto.  We didn't get them in the UK.

The pollen fileter is in under the passenger side scuttle.

I suspect, like the 4 speed autos we have in UK, gearbox doesn't have a dipstick, and level is checked with engine running, ATF at 60C, and filling to filler plug...

Yea it has almost all what is needed for comfortable driving 8-)  About dipstick - seems so :-/
About the pollen filter - would you put a photo where abouts it is, please? My crappy english and stupid dictionary wont make any sense out of "in under the passenger side scuttle"  :-[

Why don`t you have any of these in the UK? :(  I like my car more and more with every day lol and i hardly can imagine my life without it anymore ::)

Hi, Boldy.

If you click on the above link, you'll find that 'TheBoy' has marked the
location of the Pollen Filter. Top of the picture on the Right Hand side.

The picture is of a V6, but the Pollen Filter is in the same place.

If the car is Left Hand drive (probably is in Latvia), the pollen filter will be the other side of engine to our UK Right Hand Drive cars :)
