Interior lights - the ones by the sunroof dial
« on: 13 November 2007, 17:34:17 »

Hi all,

Just a quick check - my two, small, square courtesy lights by the sunroof dial cannot be turned on and off manually (with the buttons) without the ignition on. However, the two by the rear door hand grab rails CAN be used without the ignition on.

This seems contrary to all other cars I've been in, so is this correct or do I have odd wiring? It's a real pain in the arse when I'm looking in the car for something and have to turn the key just to use the light.

it was there on my 2000 corsa C, but it was a push in one, not pull out, so it took me 7 months ( :-[ ) to figure out that i had 2 extra bulbs in the ceiling of my omega!!

I know. :-? I was just giving an indication of how long Vx/Opel had used the main light switch for the courtesy light. All down to reading the manual I suppose!!  ;D
