Camshaft drive belt change

All the instructions, information,  and details of tools required etc seem to stop at the 1999 models 3.0 L versions.
I need to change the belt on my 2002 3.2 L engine.
Are there any significant changes or differences in this engine that I should know about before I start ?

Nope as far as i'm aware its the same as a 2.5 and 3.0 model... ::)

The right hand idler pulley isn't adjustable on this engine. Timing up cams 3 and 4 is a matter of getting the marks on the belt lined up (assuming you get a belt with marks on, as some recent GM ones don't.

I think I'm right in saying the rest of the procedure is the same. Always change the belt and tensioner pullies together as the pullies fail before the belt, and use the locking kit as it's not possible to accurately time the cams without it.

.. Just to add it's well worth getting the DVD available here before tackling this job and don't follow the instructions in the Haynes manual because they leave out some vital steps.

I'll second what Kevin says about the 2.6/3.2 setup.

It's not too bad of a job, although i did get myself into a pickle... ended up shi**ing my pants and giving birth to 15 kittens!  All was well in the end thanks to OOF and the DVD.
