Obtaining a new positive battery cable
« on: 04 January 2008, 14:25:43 »

I think we're agreed that I need a new battery + cable.

Does anyone know how much they are new, and maybe a part number?

Cheers

Yup, stealer just confirmed.

I've just bought a new terminal for £2.99 - is it worth trying to remake the connection first?

You could try it, even if you order a new cable it wont be in until next week now.

This in connection (ha ha No pun intended! ;)) with the cable getting warm? Mine does this too, not excessive but noticable. :(

Yep, that's it Andy. Mine didn't get warm, it cooked! Kevin will vouch for that.

I've now done a fairly cheap fix - see Gen chat...

On a serious note, reason for doing it now, is 'cos I didn't want that bad connection to kill my nice new battery...
