So, I followed the fabulous howto, when I finally managed to work out how the release bar worked I found three things:

1. I've bust my hazzard switch unless I jam it home they're on.
2. I've bent or broken some metal rod up behind the panel.
3. The bloody bulbs are the ones with plastic holder, not push in fit ones

So:

Anyone got a hazzard switch for a mini-facelift ?
What have I bent/broken ?
Where do I get these bulbs cheap ?
And finally I am assuming that changing these bulbs will make the led numbers light up. (I can only see them dimmly in daylight)

I have used dealer and Farnells for climate bulbs.

Hazard switch isn't that expensive iirc

Yes, replacement bulbs will light it up.

Piccy would help to see what you have bent

Hell even I can't see what I've bent !

It's right up under the top of the dash.

I feel so stupid but I'm blaming a hang-over, it's not like me to break things, I'm usually so patient but...

It feels like a rod running parallel to the top of the climate panel, before I bust it it felt like it was a lever so I'm guessing it may have something to do with air flaps.

Also how the hell do you get the cables off the back of the switches and the climate panel?

To remove cables.

Behind hazard switch is often 2 small screws. Undo, and the middle block of cables slides out, allowing side blocks to do likewise.

No afraid the bulbs are solderd in I would use genuine bulbs i found the aftermarket ones wouldn't even fit in the bloody holes..

Long time since I did mine I think the bulbs pull out the plastic holder ?

No they don't

Used pliers and eventually bulb exploded and came out with metal connections still atatched.

I would use Vx bulbs as i found the aftermarket ones were to big (holder wise) to even fit in a couple of the holes and the cheap contacts would twist and bend when i tried to fit them
