Mini Facelift MV6 Exhaust - Sport Option?
« on: 25 January 2008, 18:18:56 »

Hi All

In the stuff I have read on the 'meega I seem to recall a "sport exhaust" being a factory fit option for the MV6. Is this right?

Only my box has started blowing and I want to get the right bits from Vx, sport being preferred if it is an option.

Thanks in advance, Jim

It has twin, circular black tailpipes. And the black is really black, not soot/carbon.

Thanks, Jim

I remember something somewhere about one backbox being such that it reduced backpressure thus allowing the engine to breath better, but I think its by model year as opposed to model, if you follow....  :y

MV6 has std 3.0l exhaust, no differences.

Irmscher (Opel's preferred styling partner) did some different exhausts to match their bodykits, but sounds like you don't have these bodykits.

Jetex make awful exhausts, even if you own a Citroen Saxo, there are better stainless ones about.

For normal exhasts, use genuine. If you get yourself tradeclub (£20 per year), they work out only slightly more expensive than naff pattern ones.  Omegas sound naoisy and crap on cheap pattern exhausts, and its false economy as they fail quicker.
