Does 2 black lines mean its got a lsd
« on: 02 March 2008, 21:43:48 »

I just got 2 new tyres fitted on the back of the MV6 and whilst driving home with them still shiney the tc was lighting up everytime I pulled away.
On the quiet backroad up to our village I stopped turned off the tc and span the back wheels to take the sheen of the tyres which worked a treat the grip is excellent now.
Whilst driving down the same road the next day I noticed there was 2 perfect black lines.
Does that mean the car has a limited slip diff.

Talking of marks in the road, I notice the impact point and aftermath of the tractor's sump plug incident is still clearly visible 4m from here ::)

Usually with a LSD the traction will swap from one wheel to the other, thus making the back end snake a little. I did this on quick getaways with the Monster.

It was squirming about a bit.
I've had a few carlton gsi's in the past and it felt the same.
