AR25 ver AR35 - what's the difference
« on: 03 March 2008, 16:07:02 »

I know that this question was asked many times, but I can’t find any answers.
What is the difference between AR25 and AR35 (apart from engines it was combined with)?
TC is different, but what about parts inside?
They look the same inside.

It's the rated torque (250nm vs. 350nm).

I guess in practice it means stronger clutches and brake bands in the gearbox. In the Omega, the ratios were also slightly different, although I would imagine the basic design of gearbox probably came with a range of ratios to suit individual applications.

More clutches to cope with extra torque.
