HOW TO TURN OFF OMEGA ALARM

hi all new to this forum i have a 2001 omega elit and i fitted an an omega k9 aftermarket alarm i will also be adding remote start .i have found away to get round the immob but  the problem that i am having is that the factory fitted alarm keeps arming with out me turing it on.

Dose anyone know how to turn off the factory fitted alarm

Not really possible.

You will need to tell your insurance company if you do find a way, as you will lose the Cat 1 approval.

Thanks you to theboy for your reply . I have fitted a toad imob i will find a way round it i think it has something to do with the central door locking because the alarm only arms when k9 alarm locks doors and if i lock or unlock door with door pins the alarm dose not arm.

Sorry, can't help with alarm disconnection.


What are you hoping to achieve of factory fit, which is a Cat 1 anyway?

I'd like to know the answer too - I added a Viper 5000 system as I wanted the pager and external sensors (some scrote done my tyres)

(Know who it is , but he lives too far away to "visit")

You cant realy disarm the alarm although you could remove the power sounder, horn and alarm indicator relay.

If you bodge around the factory fitted immobiliser then you want your bumps feeling!
