Following HG change

I still have a few concerns which the garage who did the work imo should iron out.

Cold starts and starts in general the car sits at just under 2k revs for a short period and I have noticed the revs do not drop freely takes a few second for revs to drop to just under 1k as they should when idling

Whether this is just me being picky I'm not sure.

The only thing I havent done is soaked the ICV in carb cleaner in a while and checked the breather system but I should have thought the garage would have done something with this.

Any Ideas on what to check for?

Just to be picky  ;D

And 2.0 might idle higher than 2.2's but my 2.2 is set to idle at 700rpm.....ive seen it on a TECH2 (real one) 'target idle 700rpm'  :y

Cheers for the responses everyone

My car currently idles just under 1k which it has always done, even before the HG job.

Think I will see about looking at the ICV and breather system.

It may help. :-/

could also be a vacuum leak somewhere causing some air to get in the inlet after the throttle...

also worth a note, the coolant temp sensor can cause idling issues too, so for £12, if its not been replaced, may be worth trying it aswell!
