Marie - what are the markings on your gauge, I'm guessing 90C and 100C, in which case, 85-90C is too cold.

ok (split opionions on here) so if its too cold whats up with it then???????????????
she is running fine. no werid noises.
Running cold is most likely the stat, but could be error with gauge, or the temp sensor.

If only you were nearer, we could have a play and see what the engine temp sensor was reading, and compare to the gauge temp sensor raw reading  :'(

well we could still do thatwhen we meet at a meet! :)

Maybe I am repeating what everybody else is saying, but when I drive (the glorious time when my car worked), The temp. gauge stands on 90. It doesn't go to 95 if I have to stop for a red light, it stays on 90 ::)
