Facelift Glovebox Removal
« on: 30 March 2008, 00:58:40 »

Anyone got any advice on how to remove a glovebox on a facelift (52 plate) Omega?

I am in the process of fitting a CB radio, and my plan is to fit it stealthly in the glovebox.  So I'll need to take the glovebox out to put the bolts through to hold the mounting brackets in place.

Who needs TrafficMaster when you can have 1-9 for a traffic check  ;) lol

Its been a while since ive had my glovebox out.......but iirc....you need to remove the clipon side panel, remove the passenger side airvent......loosen the passenger airbag cover......so you can push the airbag cover up....to access hidden screws at the top of the glovebox.......

Lots of screws to remove but I think thats basically it........hth

Follow the destructions in Mr Haynes manual but take out the 5th screw on the door side of the glove box that he didn't know about. My mini face lift also has the unmentioned extra screw. ;)
