Air filter

Whats the best air filter for 3.0L V6 omega standard air box with uprated filter or an uprated cone filter??

The standard filter is plenty big enough not to be restricting the engine. Cone filters just give you more noise (and less power unless you're careful to ensure it only breathes cold air).

Std generally gives best performance as its pretty big.

Avoid oil filters, rumours are that they reduce life of MAF

How does an oil filter reduce the life of your MAF? Or was that a miss type? I have usually just swapped the standard panel filter for a jetex panel filter on cars i have had before and always had good results just wondered about the v6 thats all.

Gotcha, had that problem with my subaru went with an apexi dry cone filter with fantastic results

If your going cone filter make sure you have a walled off cold air inlet for it or it will have the opposite effect ;)

If your going cone filter make sure you have a walled off cold air inlet for it or it will have the opposite effect ;)

I will stick with panel if its good enough, only went to a cone on the scoob cause i had a front mounted intercooler fitted and it had to be cone
