Under the steering wheel as per the guide.

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687

Don't forget yours is a 2.0L, so do it with ignition on but engine
not running.
A 99V will also mean you are looking for 4 digit codes, not 2 digit.

unfortunatley my connector is not under the steering wheel like everyone elses its under the bonnet (otherside to battery) and it is also not like everyone elses.
from the top of the connector which is shown on the how 2 video there is 16 pin connection, mine is 10. where do i go from here, because i dont know which pin needs connecting to which?
thank you muchly.

1) Drop down the fuse panel from under your steering wheel.
Take a picture and post it on here.
2) Take a picture of the connector in the engine bay that you consider
    to be the diagnostic  connection.
    Post it on here.
3) We'll then cogitate a bit and offer opinions.  :)

Your connector IS in fusebox - the 10 pin on drivers side suspension turrent is the cruise loom.

Trust me, its under steering wheel!
