Scratch in cylinder help!
« on: 08 May 2008, 18:40:02 »

My spark plug disintigrated in the cylidner causing damage to head which has been skimmed successfully.  But this has left me with a scratch in the cylinder. Quite light really, Its about 1 and a half inches long. Can only just feel it when you run your finger over it.  Doesnt appear to be any damage to piston or rings.

Will this cause a significant problem.  If so what can I expect?!

Haven't found it!  Can only assume its gone through the exhaust valve and is somewhere in the exhaust system.  Haven't looked into the CAT yet.  Dont know how fine the matrix is in the CAT.  Any thoughts on whether it would go through it or not?

Cheers
