Also, if you do buy from a dealer.
Then remember that anything you are not happy with when buying from them you talk nicely and they will probably sort it. Paint work and tyres included. The marks on some cars these days are from people looking round them and kids messing arround etc. So they will probably sort that as well.
You keep pushing and pushing and you wouldnt believe what you can get a salesman to throw in in. Marks on the paintwork many years ago would have been done before the car was offered for sale, these days they are lazy, but in a sence that falls in your favour as you get to see what you are buying and not what they are covering up.
Also get them to chuck a warranty in, but go through the motions as if you were buying it as there are different options, some of which will not include electrical or other areas of the car. this will help find out what level of warranty covers what.
The con on the warrantys is that they dont activate them till something goes wrong, they take your money of course. So if they are selling a good car they would not hiccup to give a good warranty cover.
Allways worth a try.
6 months tax
12 months MOT
Set of mats
Part/full Valet
Service
Cambelt change. (or warrany on any engine aspect)
Tyres
Tank of fuel.
Better Stereo
Plus a warranty
are just some of things I had including discounts for paying cash.
Cheek gets you everywhere. Remember they want your trade. Most of the cars they have sat there for sale are costing them in bank charges.
They would rather take a small profit than not getting a sale at all.
