V6 brake conversion
« on: 04 June 2008, 22:26:23 »

Hi all.

I have just about all the parts needed to fit V6 front brakes onto one of my 2.0 16v omegas,

I have the following:

New Lucas calipers, New GM Discs and recon holders (including all bolts) to bolt onto the hub, and a new set of Green stuff pads,

Do I just remove the same parts from the 2.0 and replace, or do I need to swap over the plate behind the discs? not sure if they are a different diamater.

Hoping the hub is the same as I dont want to remove that aswell.

anyone have experience in the above?

cheers

how old are your 2.0 Omega's?

All Omega brakes are the same from about 1997.5 onwards.

Hi, sorry I forgot to mention the 2.0 is a 1996 model and has the smaller front brakes, (reason for upgrade) EBC dont make pads for those calipers so changing to V6 brakes makes this possible also.

thanks
