this might be a stupid question, sorry,
« on: 09 June 2008, 16:14:52 »

I got climate control in my miggy, now today is the first day it has been really hot, but with the temp set to 18,17,16 or LO, the air was just, well, cool to warm, should this not be freezing cold like an air con?

thanks

I agree!  I would advice anyone NEVER to use Kwik Fit if you value your car and your mental health!!

someone who specialises in air con.

yes they will charge more, but you have the piece of mind of knowing that it was done properly, and to me that is priceless

I took mine to Kwik Fit and they said I had a fault with the low pressure hose and there was no charge, so I called out a local Aircon specialist, he fixed the fault (bit of dirt in the Schrader Valve) and vaccumed the system then refilled it and its been brilliant in this weather :y

This is absolutely the right advice!  I have always used local specialists (from Yellow Pages) wherever I lived and found them brilliant! :y

Just to add, I noticed an air con servicing machine at WIM at the open day. Might be worth enquiring. At least you can be 100% sure you're not going to get a  muppet working on your car there.
