Fuel tank pick up

Just something that was on my mind in the  fuel tank where is the pick up is it at the back of the tank or the front and with the car low on fuel on a decline ie nose lower than back would that make it harder for the fuel to be picked up. have not seen the inside of the tank.

AFAIK it's nearer the front of the tank. It's under the silver plate in the boot floor.

Never noticed any difference in fuel pickup, but then I don't sail that close to the wind when it comes to filling up.

Thanks for that Kevin .. I think with the way that prices are on the up i may just go and do a big fill up later today. I have noticed that it has gone up by 3p at the shell up the road >:( >:(.

I think i hear that LPG system calling more and more .

I've got one of Jeremy's kits, as previously fitted by Jay W (2 cars), JamesV6CDX, Marie and a couple of other forum members IIRC. They seem to work well on Omegas, are excellent value, IMHO and, as they are a "known quantity" to quite a few of us we can support them to a certain extent.

Prices are around £630 for the V6 front end plus an 80l single hole cylinder. I went for a 4 hole cylinder as the single hole multivalve was looking a little marginal for the 3.2 and 4 hole tanks have a faster filler arrangement. IIRC, the 4 hole tank brought the total up to around £700.

This is for a complete kit of parts (and it is complete- everything you need down to cable ties and heat shrink) to fit the conversion on a DIY basis.
