Elite Rear View Mirror (Auto Dip)
« on: 18 June 2008, 22:30:54 »

I have seen the little circle in the glass on my mirror and asume that is the sensor for the autodip.

Whats the hole on the front, facing traffic for? is it annother sensor.

TIA  :y

You are correct. The hole facing the rear of the car detects headlights and and as long as the sensor / hole facing forward sees it is dark then the mirror will automatically dip, dim. Cover the forward facing hole during the day and shine a torch on the rear facing hole and you will be able to 'fool' the mirror .
