Did you cure the cause of the oil in the plug wells?

i have an oil leak from my rocker cover,so are you sugesting that if the breathers are blocked it creates access pressure or similar to force the oil thro gasget? therfore creating the leak to fill spark plug holes = misss fire
bugger thoes plugs look like a right pain to get to!!

yep, there is a guide on here somewhere. Read thoroughly if you dont clean the breathers right youllbe waisting your time fixing the cam cover leak. Hope helps.

Given the amount of trouble megas suffer from with blocked breather pipes, would it be a wise plan to buy a replacement set of breather pipes and then at every oil change just swop them around for the new cleaned set, then clean the ones removed ready for the next oil change.
That way it is a simple unplug /re plug..bit of extra cost but always sure of a clean set.
Anybody have any ideas on the part numbers for the 3 pipes ?

This may sound silly but i have the same problem had it plugged into tech2 machines nothing came up on them.So a mate of mine said he would look on auto data for fault finding and main faults that came up was the engine management coolant sensor i changed this on mine and all fine  now and i was going to go down the road of changing the dis pack but much rather spend £10 + vat on the coolant sensor that £60 + on dis pack. All these problems have occured my mate said since the weather has turned hot this maybe the fix but only a suggestion. As tech2 and paper-clip doesn't necessarily  show a fault unless eml is on. Going back to the beginning i had this missfire problem and i changed Spark plugs leads cleaned inlet manifold etc and was becoming a bit skint and all it was was a £10 sensor which is located under the inlet manifold on the bridge thing in between the heads when asking they motor factors will try and give you the temperature gauge sensor you need the one next to it with 2 wires that go into it.

This is only a suggestion as this sounds like the same problem as what i had.... :-/ and if only you have no oil in your spark plug wells.

Hi, where in the rev range was the mis-fire? Mine is hesitant and mis-firing below 4k but fine once the dual ram kicks in. Particularly bad around 3.5k mark and feels really gutless, big hole in the torque band. Was markedly worse when I put cheap 95ron in and better when I filled it with 100ron. No fault codes. Will look at plugs in the first instance.

Cheers,

Andrew
