Price of rear shocks for elite
« on: 03 July 2008, 09:58:58 »

I have just phoned vauxhall for a price on a pair of self levelling rear shocks for my year 2000 elite saloon. They have quoted me £105 + vat each which i thought was a lot of money. Is there anybody with a trade card or other supplier / contact who may be able to help me get a lower price?

Price is right for retail.

Saloon with self-levelling suspension
72119084
£103.00  retail
£87.58   trade
£64.88  trade club

But look at the trade club price :y :y

All plus Vat

I'm not a million miles away if you need to borrow a TC card.  Though may be worth your while getting a TC card through ABS (£20 per year)

Just looked at Autobahn Stormers site and this seems too good to be true, a discount of effectively £100 for joining the club for £20 per year? Do vauxhall dealers generally accept the ABS membership card and reduce the price of the spares to the TC price as the site states?

http://www.tradeclub.co.uk/

click the distributer locator tab near the top, then find your local area from the drop down menu to look for garages close to you, they give trade club discount

£152.47 for the rear pair

Yes.  Some dealers may insist on 'setting you up' which can take a few days.  It really is true.

Some dealers may have to call the number to confirm the card as well (you'll get a contact number with the card).
