From what I gather they were optional at the point of purchase.

Mostly bought on the MV6 versions by the police authorities.

So feesable that any model may have had one fitted.

Only ex police 3.0 cars have it and only a few and generally only the manual ones...

None had as standard.

It was a factory option, but rarely taken up, except by some plod forces.

I was thinking they were found mainly on the cop cars..

So they could have been on anything but pretty unlikely

Thanks.

quick question - im just after buying what is supposed to be an lsd for my mv6, supposedly it is out of an ex gov auto car - just wondering is there anyway i can tell it is an lsd before I go to the trouble of putting it in - the shafts are still connected and when I spin one slowly the other spins in the same direction ?

There is a long code on the diff if that helps but it doesnt start with a 0 or a 1 as suggested in some other thread ???

sorry to hijack the thread btw!

i have a lsd and when i spin on wheel the other spins in the other direction it is only under load that omegas lsd locks up so i do not think you have a lsd and bye the way i most definatly do have a lsd diff so if yours is not doing the same i would take of the back plate and look at the inside to be sure before you waste your time fitting it hth ;)

cheers, If I turn the prop both spin shafts the same direction, if I turn one halfshaft slowly they spin the same direction but if I apply more pressure the shafts spin in opposite directions ??

The only way to tell is to take the rear plate off, if it looks like this one inside, its an LSD

Dont think the wheel turning trick works with Vauxhall LSD's, something about an internal clutch or something.
