lower front suspension arm
« on: 26 August 2008, 18:03:45 »

Does anyone know how much vx charge for front lower suspension arms,(pair), with trade card. I had a look on the website but there was no price listed for it. Also what part numbers do i need for the front discs and pads for a 98`R 2.0l 16v omega,(only listing showing was up to 97). Thanks.

Lower arms from VX are extrotionate.  Dunno the exact price but its up there in the couple of hundreds...  And, as far as I know, its not on trade club...  Plenty of folks here have used alternates sources from e-bay and similar.  Check some of the past threads and you will see whats meant.

As to the discs and pads, cant lay my hands on numbers etc but they are on trade club.  Last i saw, somewhere in the £60 for an axle set of discs andpads.....

They are silly money from Vauxhall. Give this place a call http://stores.ebay.co.uk/VAUXCENTRE_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZQ2d999QQftidZ2QQtZkm

I paid about £55 for both sides delivered

Just bought front discs + pad set from Vx on TC - £71.40 + VAT - sure they're the same for 98 2.0Lit as 2.5V6.
Part Nş - 93175466

i phew alternatives for you to consider, as vx want about 400 plus for a pair. Dont go there for wishbones. Discs are considered good value from what ive read on here esp with tc card.

Original wishbones made by lemforder can be had from autovox for 120 plus delivery, only difference is no gm badge.
Or as Johny says the cheaper still options
Linked above for roughly 50 a pair but are considred not to last as long, although as you can see, those that have them seem quite happy.
Failing that you can press new bushes in but you need access to 10 ton press and the right drifts to avoid damaging the wishbones or the bushes. Hope helps.

See the guide in maintenance section for correct torquing procedure, get it wrong and your back to square one a bit sharpish. Hope helps.
