my water pump died saturday afternoon, pics on another thread, but the seal was completly untouched. No silicone on the new one and sealed no probs. :y

 Fitted & driven around the block about 15 mins ago. I don't think I'd be too popular if I run the engine for too long to vent the system.

Found my loss of water!
Bloody heater by-pass valve.  >:(
I drove all the way down to Kent a fortnight back with caravan in tow with no problems. We drove out the following afternoon a few miles from the site and didn't appear to have any problem untill I went the wrong way & turned round. When I saw the trail of water down the middle of the road where I'd just driven, I recognised the water as mine.  ;)
Sticking my head under the car I could see water pi$$ing out at the back. Fortunately it stopped when I knocked the air-con off.
I spent a pleasurable hour the following morning changing the HBV  :(  :y
