Facelift Bonnet

When I close the bonnet it latches but you can still push down about 10mm even though its locked close.  Is there a way to adjust the closing mechanism.

I think there is a locking nut on the striker on the bonnet if you loosen the nut & screw the striker in a bit at a time should sort it

just like to add to that, make sure the catch is fairly free from rust etc & put a coat of grease on it, otherwise itll shut really snug but pulling the bonnet release might be a problem, if that happens get somebody to push on the nose of the bonnet while you pull the release then re-adjust.
