Brake Pads
« on: 23 September 2008, 15:44:09 »

On my 1998 Elite saloon front callipers/pads are Lucas pad part nş 9192124.
On the 1998 Elite Estate (both are V6s) front pads different shape - have "ears".  Believe they are ATE/Teves callipers/pads. Vx say only one type of pad (Lucas) - I say different having seen both types!!

Most aftermarket pad suppliers list both types for V6 Omegas.

Am I right in thinking Vx part nş for ATE pads is 91921213?

TIA

All 6 cylinder cars, and all cars after 1997 have same front disks/pads, disks 296mm

Only pre 1997 2.0l petrols had the other type (along with 286mm disks)

Look carefully at the first ebay link http:// http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OMEGA-BRAKE-DISCS-BRAKE-PADS-296mm-ATE_W0QQitemZ330210802637QQihZ014QQcategoryZ10404QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262 - ATE pads & 296mm discs!

A number of aftermarket suppliers list ATE on V6s, 296 discs!  My understanding is that some ATE callipers were fitted on production line if Lucas parts not available.

Not on the Omega.  Vauxhall are pretty good for sticking to parts to be honest.
