A couple of queries please
« on: 06 October 2008, 20:28:39 »

I have just got back into an omega , but before my jag i had a vectra v6 and was wondering although the cars are obviously a wee bit different do they:
A) suffer from the egr pipe from the valve to the manifold rot/split like the veccy (sounding like a blown manifold)
B) total closure - on the vectra you can conect two wires from the central locking module and give total closure without the module (although it did cause an issue with the one touch closure on the windows)
If the above are so i may be able to at last help out and can blank the egr pipe off for 20 p (it can be done for 10p but i thought the extra cost was worthwhile  ;D :D)
And i will have one touch total closure for FREE!! (my car does do total closure off the remote but i have to stand holding the button till its done)
I have searched but couldnt find the info i needed and its too dark and cold to go outside and lift the bonnet  :-[ sorry!!!
Thanks in advance for any replies

a) No
b) No, but you can get kits of egay for a few quid that hold the 'lock position' electronically for 20s or so when you deadlock, thus total closure.
