Is the AR25 the same as the AL30E and when the sonnax thrust washer came it had 2 washers an 2 sets of shims are they just sold as min order of 2  or is there one the other side of the box i have found one on the back of the overdrive section of the box . (10 days order from germany aparently) it is like the sonnax one but only 2 tags all the copper colour had worn off i only ventured this far in the box by accident. if i go any further I will need a manual.

there is also another thrust washer further down in the box - it's dead easy to get to, but if you fubar the seal in the process, it involves a lot of fiddly work requiring special tools (I'm not sure what, just stating what I remember Sassanach showing me )

i thought the ar25 was the gm430l ?

lol it's ok, just that i searched for it on google and it came up with a whole list of applications so thought i'd check that you were on about the same autobox (it's used on a 316 bmw lol)
