Moving the Front Seats Back
« on: 13 October 2008, 12:53:12 »

Okay so I am a very tall person yet despite the Omega offering loads of legroom up front, even with the seat fully back, I still need a few more inches.  Don't we all, I hear you say but how easy is it to shift the front seats back about 4-6 inches and how time consuming?
Cheers

I'm not sure that it will be easily possible without some sort of cutting and welding on ther floorpan and retapping holes as well

Thanks mate.  I was hoping it wouldn't have to be that drastic.

Cheers anyway

The holes are at the front and back pretty much of the runner to connect it to the floor so would be a fair old deal to do...tap new screw holes in the floor (which is I believe raised so may well need spacers at the back too) and probably need some strengthening too perhaps?

I could do with mine going back a tad and a litle bit lower.

Please keep us informed (with pictures if possible) on what you manage to achieve. :y :y

Apparently seats without the fully ecetric moment do go a bit lower. I always feels a liitle too high ... in the seat. ;)  :y

We tried this yesterday, MV6 against Elite, reckon you get an extra 20 mm at the most

Crikey how tall are you?

My mate is 6'7" and he was OK in his old miggy.  Was an MV6 though - maybe the sports seats are lower/deeper?
