Battery amps.
« on: 13 October 2008, 20:14:48 »

I have just replaced the old battery on my 2.6. The old battery was 59AH.....however the new on is 68AH,and is slighty larger .

The new battery seems to work fine ..........but can anybody tell me what size the battery was when they came out of the factory.

Will the 68 AH battery be O.K if we have a severe winter. :y :y

68 Ah is specified for the 3.0 so you should be fine. Just do a minimum 10-15 mile journey every week or so, as with any battery in winter...

My 2.5 has a 66Ah as standard. More is better, but not always necessary. When a battery is old it probably has half the capacity when new, even a quarter is probably enough to start the car.
