Crank sensor for 2.5 V6
« on: 16 October 2008, 13:06:09 »

Mine is still the original and I'm planning to get a spare one for the inevitable day it stops working.

Is there more than one for the 2.5 V6? Anyone know the part number please?

Is it OK to get one mail order from Autovaux or Ebay or are GM only ones recommended?

Hi,

I take this from OOF

Crankshaft Sen.Description  Part Number    Retail Price Trade Club Avail
2.5V6 Petrol Earlier Models  90492006       £73.33       yes
2.5V6 Petrol Later Models    90492061       £53.33       yes

I recommend original GM as its very critical..

You need to check the plug or part number... The latter being fairly easy to do if you remove the wheel. If it is the more expensive one, with the metal body, i have one i bought in error. The packet is open but sensor is brand new gm part and i'm more than happy to post it to you. I got it for a good price (about £50 IIRCC) so it'll be a bargain! :y :y

No problem Tony... I'll check the part number later and if you check which one you want it's first come first served! It's been in the for sale section a while! TBH the main reason I didn't return it is because I got it so cheap I thought i'd try and save someone here a few quid! :y :y :y

Just checked mine. Thoughtfully the number on the body is upside down but I think it is 9261210 might be 0261210. Not the same as either of those posted by cem. It looks like it has a metal body but it is the only one I have ever seen so who knows!

That doesn't look like your number in the advert Mr Docker? (90492006) (edited)

For clarification... The sensor I have for sale is the square type, part number 90492006 and has a metal body where it goes into the block.
