Your cambelt snapped at the same time as the head gasket failing?

If the cambelt failed then you will probably need a new engine (which I have here if your interested) but you may be lucky...cant see why the head gasket would fail at the same time...could be a rod through the casing through to the water system?

Headgasket kit:

Trawl ebay as they can be got at good prices. I would recommend that for the exhaust manifold gasket and cam cover gasket that you use genuine.

Cambelt kit (and dont forget water pump!)

www.buypartsby.co.uk

Or again look on ebay at the likes of contitech and gates

As for the head, it will have bent valves (assuming it is cam belt failure) and hecen new valves will be required with stem seals, again ebay is your friend here BUT make sure you inspect the valve gudes for damage!

Hi,
try  autostuff18 on ebay. Very good prices!
Maybe worth asking if he can also offer a water pump.
Cam Belt manufactured by Gates, so quite ok.
Don't bother contacting them if the item you are looking for isn't currently listed! They usually get back to you quite fast and put the asked item on ebay asap.
I made quite good experience with them.

If the valves are the same as the 3.0 one's, I have a set here...

He didn't say the had gasket had failed. The belt snapped so he needs another kit if valves are to be replaced.   ;)

Indeed...says 2.0 cdx on profile...

Might be easier to swap engine if damage is bad...got one 85k FSH mostly Vaux...just needs IACV which is running a bit rough but you could just swap it over from your current engine...
